If you are booking with us from the 27th September 2021 please take note of the following; The Gorge road between our end of the valley & Luz St. Sauveur, the D921, will be closed from the 27th Sept for 3 weeks for major roadworks. So what this means is that from that date there is no access from our end of the valley to Luz St. Sauveur, which affects access to some climbs; Luz Ardiden, Gavarnie, Col des Tentes, Cirque de Troumouse. You can still do Tourmalet from the east side (via Bagneres-di-Bigorre). You can drive the long way around to Luz St. Sauveur to do these climbs. It's about 1hr 10mins from the Lodge to the top of Col du Tourmalet or 1hr 35 to Luz Saint Sauveur. There is enough cycling at our end of the valley to keep you occupied for your cycling holiday...Soulor, Aubisque, Spandelles, Aubisque loop via Laruns & foothills, Hautacam, Tourmalet east side & Aspin, Hourquette d'Ancizan, Lac d'Estaing, Couraduque, Bordéres, Cauterets, Cambasque & Pont d'Espagne. And lots of other beautiful routes in the foothills that we can suggest for something different. We can advise on an itinerary for your cycling holiday to get the best of the area.
